Czeching on Things...

I'm currently following airfares to Europe for mid-September, 2012, as an anniversary celebration for my 40th birthday trip.  Not to celebrate my 41st birthday....

I'm currently pondering a trip to Munich, for Oktoberfest, then onward to Salzburg, Austria, Prague in the Czech Republic, and then Vienna, Austria (Salzburg is on the way from Munich to Prague).  Air Canada currently has the best price, $984 for a multi-city excursion, departing Boston or environs - arriving in Munich, and then flying out of Vienna.  Roundtrip to either Munich or Vienna actually costs more.  Trains will obviously be my point-to-point mode of transportation between cities.

There are a few complications before I can commit to the journey -- I need my business partner's blessing, and my Mom's.  But, in general, what do you guys think about the idea?  Am I becoming travel-mad?  Should I depart for other destinations?  Would you rather I save my shekels and postpone gratification?

  1. Two questions: can you afford it and do you want to go? If the answers to both are yes, I would never advise passing up on travel.
